#GoodbyeGaia, Hello Silverline Communications
When I made the decision to start an agency seven years ago in the middle of the recession, it was a huge risk. I knew then, what I know now – entrepreneurs have a specific DNA that enables them to make giant leaps in a single bound (and without a safety net).
In 2009, the fledgling agency was focused on servicing clean technology clients who were passionate about sustainability and cleaning up the environment. Hence, the name Gaia. Gaia is the Greek Goddess of Earth, and the alliteration with Group felt natural and resonated with our clients in the industry.
Though, as they say, change is inevitable.
The last few years have been anything but SLOW! We’ve experienced significant growth; incorporated new service offerings for our clients; expanded our team to include digital natives; seasoned communicators and industry experts; and evolved our clientele to encompass a broad mix of high-growth B2B tech companies. Our clients now hail from healthcare, energy, local business and cyber industries to name a few. With all of these great changes, we knew it was time to leave Gaia in the rearview and continue on under a new brand.
Yet rebrand was not enough and we needed a change of scenery to go along with it. After months of debate, research and office tours, we finally landed on our new name, Silverline Communications, and our new location at 8500 Leesburg Pike in the heart of Tysons Corner. The regional tech corridor seemed like home for us. Then came the real work….
Although we have a new name, brand and office, our commitment to customer service has not changed. Our new identity matches our mission to help high-growth companies in the national and regional tech community stand out, be heard and get results. And while we’re excited about our transformation, we are more excited about our renewed commitment to helping our clients navigate the complex marketing and communications terrain today and beyond.
Of course, we’re not done with this process just yet. Each day brings a new adventure (figuring out new lunch spots), challenges (creating compelling content and news monitoring in a 24/7 cycle) and successes (client feedback has been nothing but positive). We look forward to sharing our story with you as it continues to unfold!
