Climate / Clean Energy PR Internship
Role and Responsibilities

At Silverline Communications, we consider our interns important members of the team, invest in their professional growth, and encourage them to be curious and creative. We are looking for a driven and organized part-time intern to our support teams on various accounts.
Responsibilities Include:
Monitoring industry news and developing weekly news scans on client news, new business prospects and emerging trends
Assisting media relations efforts by maintaining media lists and conducting outreach
Researching speaking events and award opportunities
Creating marketing and agency-specific content
Supporting client teams as needed through research, writing, list-building and other PR activities
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing or similar field or current enrollment in a bachelor’s or graduate program at an accredited university
Strong oral and written communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Skill in conducting Internet-based research
Ability to problem solve
Interest in emerging tech and clean energy
Desired Skills:
Professional judgment and discretion and high standard of ethics
A positive, professional, and “can do” attitude and a demonstrated team player
Flexibility, adaptivity and eagerness to learn
Hours/Duration:
This position is part-time for 10-20 hours per week – minimum three-month commitment
This application period is for the fall internship program beginning in September and the winter internship program beginning in January 2024.
This is an in-person / hybrid position if located around D.C, but virtual otherwise
